‘Survivor: Blood vs. Water’ preview: Why this Redemption Island duel has us laughing already
There is nothing more intense on “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” than a Redemption Island duel, given that you have entire games on the line every week. While we don’t necessarily like the way in which some of the challenges are boring, we will at least given them credit for at least giving some people the opportunity to fare well where they may otherwise not. So far this season, the one that Laura Morett used to get back into the game is the only one that we felt like was extremely unbalanced to favor her.
One shred of evidence into what we are talking about here can be seen just in how Tina Wesson actually seems to have a big of a lead over both Aras and Vytas Baskauskas in the preview video below. Vytas still figuring out how to untangle a rope that he needs to use in order to collect bags of pieces, while Aras seems slightly more concerned with making sure that people are cheering for him in addition to Tina.
Personally, we find it so funny and self-involved that any of theme players would try to cheer on anyone that they just voted out, but when Laura starts yelling for Tina, Aras tells her to start cheering for him, as well … and she does! We find that hilarious, since it may also say something about how players still in the game are really afraid of saying anything negative about people on Redemption, knowing that it could come back to bit them in the end.
Whoever wins this duel at least for the time being is almost irrelevant, since they are going to have a very hard task getting back in the game given how many more of these that they will need to not place last in to stay alive. We’ll be slightly more invested in a couple of weeks; plus, we can’t really see anyone in this group actually winning the game if they get back in the game and into the final three, mostly because there seems to be so much strange ill will towards the Aras alliance.
