‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: More details of McKayla Mulroney appearance

After this week’s episode of “Bones” season 9, the show is going to be heading on a temporary hiatus in order for everyone to spend their time on Black Friday getting in a fight with someone at Walmart over a PlayStation 4. But when the show comes back on the air on Friday, December 6, it will be doing so with an hour that features the appearance of Olympic gymnast McKayla “Not Impressed” Mulroney.

As it turns out, Mulroney (who has already appeared on “Hart of Dixie” is playing a part that she should be familiar with: A gymnast. The only difference here is that this is someone suspected in doing some pretty terrible things: This installment is entitled “The Spark in the Park,” and you can see the full synopsis below:

“The Jeffersonian team investigates the murder of a nationally ranked gymnast, whose remains were hit by lightning and scattered throughout a public park. Although evidence points to a fellow gymnast (guest star Maroney) as the key suspect, Brennan and Booth discover the victim was leading a double life. Meanwhile, Booth gets upset when Brennan shows surprising empathy for the victim’s father (guest star Richard Schiff), and Cam confronts the woman who stole her identity.”

What sort of “double life” are we talking about here? That for the time being is as much of a mystery as anything else. Given that we will be nearing the end of the fall season, let’s hope that the story also ramps up when it comes to intensity as a result of it. “Bones” so far has struggled when it comes to performing on Fridays, so hopefully it will start to turn things around in time so that a season 10 can happen. For the first time, we are legitimately starting to worry about the show’s ratings thanks to the move.
