‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki on the Ezekiel crisis
For the time being on “Supernatural” season 9, we are seeing that Ezekiel is doing quite a stellar job when it comes to ensuring that Sam is given the proper aide that he needs to survive. Unfortunately, there are a pair of problems that go along with that: Sam doesn’t know that he is being healed, and this angel is responsible for keeping another one (in Castiel) away for the time being. Sooner or later, Sam is going to fight out about all of this … right?
If you want to catch more evidence that the truth is indeed coming out eventually, just take a look at what Jared Padalecki said recently to TV Guide on this very subject:
“Sam’s no dumb cookie and even though Sam’s not doing too hot, he can tell his brother’s acting a little bit weird. And Ezekiel, every time this happens, is wiping Sam’s brain and Sam’s smart enough to go, ‘Wait a second, how did I get here?’ The tension definitely rises because Sam is starting to catch on.”
As for when Sam actually does find out the truth, you know that this moment is going to be beyond dramatic. Just take a look at Jensen Ackles’ comment to the website about it if you’re looking for more evidence:
“It is starting to drive [Dean] a bit crazy and it gets to a point where it actually backfires on him. In some way, shape or form, it’s going to explode and the ugly truth will rear its head. At this point it’s a battle that he is very begrudgingly having the fight.”
While we don’t necessarily expect the truth to come out during Tuesday night’s episode “Bad Boys” (given that there is a different lie that Dean will be dealing with in what happened to him during his teenage years), there’s another episode a few down the road where we could see this starting to become a pretty serious issue. It’s no secret (yes, pun intended) that there have been lies between the brothers before, but this is something different. It’s life-or-death, and Sam for the time being is still waiting to find out all of the news.
