ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 10 preview: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and baby talk (video)
It is probably in some ways a weird feeling to follow up an episode of “Castle” revolving around the possible return of 3XK with something so different, but we imagine that you are going to be feeling some sort of excitement, as well, from next week’s “The Good, the Bad, and the Baby.” Is it an episode that will feature the killer in physical form? Probably not, but it is at least one that will help to answer a pressing question for Rick and Kate: Are we going to see children in their future someday?
The way in which the subject is brought up in the episode is courtesy of a child they discover, and is they find out soon after this, there are many challenges that come with a mystery kid. Sure, we know that Castle’s been barfed on by a kid before, but has Beckett? This is some sort of odd experiment for them to take care of a kid while also solving a case, and it could turn overwhelming for the two of them … especially if they realize that they have a difference of opinion in regards to children in the future.
As the synopsis points out, there are actually in some ways two mysteries to this episode, and only one of them revolves around trying to figure out the murder:
“A bleeding man stumbles into a church, but just before dying, he hands a mysterious bundle to the priest. When the bundle turns out to be a smiling baby boy, Castle and Beckett find themselves accidental nannies to the newborn. But when they determine the baby and the victim were not related, they discover that finding his rightful parents may be just as hard as solving the murder.”
Even though there may not be a 3KX sighting in this episode, we’re probably more excited about this than any other right now. Not only is it a thrill to watch just in promo form, but this is a conversation we’ve been waiting to see discussed forever.
