‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5, episode 9 preview: Eric Christian Olsen’s Deeks learns about addiction

Tuesday night’s “NCIS: Los Angeles” episode is bringing with it quite the entertaining premise, and with that in mind, we are also hoping that it will also stand out as one of the best episodes of the season. If nothing else, we hear that it is the beginning episode to a story that could send both the Deeks and Kensi characters down a pretty interesting road, and one that will last for much of the rest of the season (or at least so long as Daniela Ruah has before her maternity leave).

In the sneak peek below, though, the focus is squarely on Deeks. He is in the middle of a massive undercover mission in order to figure out how to solve a case involving a rehab facility, and he’s chosen a pretty interesting ailment to get himself in: Sex addiction. Not only is this the best way to pull great moments from his character, it makes a little bit of sense given that he won’t have to fake any sort of physical symptoms for what is a very different sort of problem.

This video is all about him getting the grand tour of the facilities, which he is learning is a little bit more limited than he may have been originally hoping for it to be. There are not going to be that many opportunities for him to take part in surfing and some other activities, but we’re not sure that he really would have been given that much time anyway. He has some more important business to take care of, even if there is probably a part of him that wants to look at this as a vacation to the best of his abilities. As for how much the runners of the establishment know about his alter ego, that is for the time being a pretty good question.
