‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 notes: Sophie Turner and casting news

Game of Thrones -With this “Game of Thrones” update, we’re doing a little bit of real-world  news coupled with an interesting update from the world of the show itself. We’re not going to spoil anything significant for any of you who have not read the George R.R. Martin books, since those who have read them will understand everything without a problem.

Casting – Remember when we told you earlier this year about Octavia Alexandru being cast on the show for at least one season 4 episode? What we can add to that story now is this: According to some more information presented by Winter Is Coming, the young actress will be playing the Child of the Forest … or one of The Children of the Forest. Take your pick on the name. This character is from an upcoming A Song of Ice adn Fire novel from George R.R. Martin, and that is all we’re going to say here for those who have not read them. Those who know the books will already have an understanding as to what we’re talking about.

“Game of Thrones” season 4 has already concluded the majority of its filming, and the post-production process is now underway in order to ensure that everything is ready to go. The show will return to HBO this spring.

Sophie Turner news – While at the “Another Me” premiere, the woman behind Sansa Stark showed off her red-carpet style. The 17-year old has grown up in many ways thanks to the show, but so far, she has manage to take sudden fame in stride, and avoid all of the various pratfalls that you traditionally see from young actors. One of the ways in which she benefits is probably similar to Daniel Radcliffe: She gets to spend many hours a day on set, working with the same people and forming a new family.
