‘Homeland’ season 3 spoilers: When will Damian Lewis’ Nicholas Brody return?
For those of you who, for whatever reason, are starting to feel skeptical that “Homeland” is ever going to be showing off Damian Lewis ever again, allow this to be the official confirmation that you’ve been waiting to hear: Nicholas Brody will be back on the Showtime drama. Not only that, but you are going to be seeing him very soon.
Without saying anything about tonight’s episode “The Red Wheelbarrow” (which is under a heavy lock and key), we can confirm that starting with next week’s “Horse and Wagon” straight through to the still-untitled finale, you are going to see Brody in every episode in some shape or form. Not only that, but there will be some scenes with Claire Danes’ Carrie Mathison in that timespan. So “Homeland” will return somewhat to the series that you enjoyed the first two seasons, but there are still many questions that need to be asked:
1. Will Carrie reveal that she is (ugh) pregnant to Brody, or stay quiet about it?
2. Will Brody still be mentally stable after seemingly experimenting with heroin at the end of his last appearance in “Tower of David”?
3. What brings Carrie to Venezuela, where Brody seems to be firmly situated?
4. Is there a way in which seeing him will actually help to clear his name?
5. Finally, how does Carrie figure out precisely where he is? It’s been briefly mentioned that there are connections between those helping him and Carrie, but that has never been elaborated upon.
We suppose that more than anything, we’re just happy to see Brody again somewhat involved with the rest of the series. While we enjoy the sort of espionage drama that goes on with Saul and the CIA, especially given the short amount of time that he has before Lockhart comes in and takes over everything, we know that others may not feel the same way.
For those curious, you are going to see more of the Brody family tonight, regardless of whether or no you want to. Click here to watch a preview for “The Red Wheelbarrow,” and we will have more later.
