‘Homeland’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Dar Adal and an investigation

Homeland -We cannot possibly imagine that the sneak peek below from Sunday night’s “Homeland” is going to make you particularly shocked, mostly when it comes to one simple thing: It involves guys sitting around and talking. For a show that had so many action-packed moments during season 2 especially, the past few weeks since “Tower of David” have felt like sitting in for a very interesting conference.

Admittedly, we enjoy being able to sit around and watch Saul play his game with all of the chess pieces that he has … but, at the same time, we cannot say that everyone feels the same way. So should a conversation between Dar Adal and Bennett really excite you? It all depends on if you like your espionage to be a slow burn.

Dar Adal knows information on just what sort of stuff that Bennett and his firm have been up to, and he tries to use a classic CIA technique in order to get him to fess up: Intimidation. Unfortunately for the agent here, the target knows a little too much about what he is up to; Bennett has no interest in cooperating at all, and proclaims that he has “nothing to hide” before walking away.

So in the end, this is going to get interesting as we start to figure out more and more how Saul is going to proceed now with the plan that is in place. He knows that Dar Adal is one of his most trusted people away from Quinn and Carrie, and his contacts are deep.

So where is Brody in all of this? Still in Venezuela at the Tower of David presumably, and if you are worried about him vanishing from this season altogether, know that he still has a critical role to play. It’s just interesting that ultimately, the most he is going to appear in is six episodes this season. That’s only half of the run, and that’s assuming that he appears tomorrow and every episode the rest of the way.

Then just be sure to click here, where you can see a video that is all about Mandy Patinkin’s Saul getting grilled over and over again regarding his choice to have Javadi work as an asset rather than someone that they arrest and allow to rot in a jail cell.
