‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7, episode 8 preview: Johnny Galecki and a sweater
On Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory,” we are going to find out the answer to one simple question: What do you do when you are forced to wear one of the silliest sweaters known to man? Leonard is about to find otu, as Sheldon decides that he wants to make it clear just what happens when you have to try to be as “uncomfortable” as Sheldon is in some situations.
What we learn first of all in the preview is that for a guy with as many problems when it comes to being social (and being outdoors), Leonard has a surprisingly tan stomach. Also, we learn that he is a little bit behind the times when it comes to technology, and whether or not DVD rentals are still in business. (There is some irony in this episode airing a few short days after Blockbuster rented out their movies for the last time.)
The biggest problem that we have right now with this sneak peek, and really with the episode as a whole, is that it’s not giving us much of an idea at all as to what we are actually going to see happen on the episode. The entire story can’t be about a sweater, and there have been around 100 or so setups over the past seven years than this one. It’s just a shame, since this could end up being a really fantastic episode. It’s just not really being promoted as one for whatever reason.
What we can at least tell you now, based on official press releases that are already out there, you are going to be seeing an appearance from Kate Micucci’s character of Lucy. This is the first time this season that she will appear, but there is no guarantee that she’ll be spending time with anyone other than Penny.
