‘The Mentalist’ season 6, episode 6: Is ‘Fire and Brimstone’ delayed tonight due to football?

The latest -

Stop us when this one sounds familiar: The NFL is tackling “The Mentalist” by and large out of primetime again. However, the difference between the broadcast this week and what we had last week is that at least this time around, the show is going to still be airing at all. Fans were not pleased about it, especially since we are near the end of the pivotal Red John investigation that has been several years in the making.

As for when this episode is going to actually begin, think around 10:46 p.m. Eastern time. The show will not be aired late on the west coast, and presumably, it will also air in Canada at its regularly-scheduled time. For fans of the show, that is definitely good news.

There are only three episodes left as a whole in quest to stop Red John, and that is probably why there was so much anger and frustration in what happened last week. But, the truth of the matter here is that NFL football is always going to win out over everything else. It doesn’t matter whether you are even talking about a good football game or a bad one; the ultimate point remains the same. These games pull in huge ratings (much higher than Simon Baker and company), and they also pay a ton of money in the process for the rights to the games.

But, at least there should be some good news here in that there may not be too many more late games left this fall that will conflict with new episodes, especially since there have been a series of delays the past few weeks.

Are you at least happy that “The Mentalist” is on the air this week, even though there are some delays in the scheduling this time? Be sure to share below! Click here if you want to see some more “Mentalist” news, and if you refresh that link
