‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and the return of Kim Rhodes

The love-fest for bringing back former “Supernatural” stars for season 9 episodes just keeps coming. We’ve already seen Jim Beaver back once as Bobby, Alaina Huffman back as Abaddon, and the return of Felicia Day as Charlie. Next up, we’re going to get the opportunity to see another beloved face from the past several seasons in Kim Rhodes, otherwise known by the name of Sheriff Mills.

Ever since the death of Beaver’s Bobby, Mills’ appearances have been a little more few and far between, though she has said that she would continue to keep an eye out for supernatural-related cases in the town. Well, one of those is going to be surfacing on the November 26 episode “Rock and a Hard Place.” You can see a few more details just courtesy of the synopsis below:

“Sheriff Mills (guest star Kim Rhodes) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help investigating multiple murders in her small town. Discovering all four victims belonged to the same church chastity group, Sam and Dean decide to infiltrate by joining the group themselves. When Dean disappears, Sam and Sheriff Mills realize whatever they are hunting has taken Dean too and team up to rescue him.”

This is the last new episode of anything that The CW is airing prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, and given that some people do get off from school and decide to start traveling for the holiday on that Tuesday night, we don’t expect the ratings to be all that great. It is probably for that reason that the show is probably doing the right thing in not airing an episode that has a lot to do with the central plot of the season. This could be a fun little standalone episode, and there seems to be something hilarious that could come from watching Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles play members of a chastity group. (Let’s hope that they will be really good at lying in this context.)
