‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: David Boreanaz-directed episode lands country star Charlie Worsham

Take a look -David Boreanaz will be heading to the director’s chair on “Bones” a little later this season, and based on the news that is just coming out now, one of the focuses of his episode could be something very musical. Think of this as “Nashville,” but with people trying to solve a murder.

According to TVLine, country music singer Charlie Worsham is going to guest star in this episode in a role that probably does feel at least somewhat familiar to him as a country performer, but in this case one that becomes the center point of an investigation at the Jeffersonian. This is a man who will have his work cut out for him potentially trying to distance himself from whatever he is accused of, while still trying to keep his image together at the same time. The last thing that you can do in the country music world especially is something that could cause you to alienate your conservative audience, who will apparently even abandon you if you disagree with a Republican President.

“Bones” is coming up on what is going to be an especially big week for it. Just sit down and think for a minute about everything that is going to be coming up. Not only do you have the standalone episode “The Dude in the Dam” airing on Monday night, but you are going to be following that up with another episode on Friday, which marks the show’s new time-period premiere. That will be the real test of how well it does in the long run. Unless everything bombs on Mondays the rest of the season, we have a hard time really imagining the show being able to go back to that spot. That means that they just need to come up with some great storylines for the new night, and take on whatever is thrown at them.
