‘Survivor: Blood vs. Water’ episode 9 preview: Why is Tina Wesson so angry?

She's back -Since everything resulting in Aras Baskauskas’ elimination from “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” was pretty well telegraphed prior to it even happening, that has not been something that we have lost a particularly large amount of sleep trying to analyze. But, we cannot say the same about Tina Wesson’s freakout that was teased in the promo after the show.

Tina seems to be threatening Tyson Apostol and possibly Monica Culpepper in the clip, saying that there are five people who are for sure never going to vote for Tyson thanks to the move that was made at the merge. There are so many little oddities about her doing this, especially in a public venue after a blindside vote, that we don’t even quite know where to start.

1. Who are the five people that she is even talking about? She’s probably referring to both Baskauskas brothers along with also Tina and her daughter Katie, but the fifth is a mystery. Maybe she thinks for whatever reason that she had Gervase still on her side.

2. Since when has Tina tried to use this sort of strategy before? This is a great player and a former winner, but given that she also has been voted out first, you would think that she would have an appreciation for people trying to play the game. The move wasn’t personal at all.

3. We are trying to operate here under the assumption that Tina is just playing smart here and is trying to call Tyson out, thinking that it could convince him to do course-correction, but even if that is the case, Tyson has never struck us as someone who is necessarily afraid of losing. The last thing he will probably care about is if Tina is upset, and he has a hidden immunity idol to protect himself, anyway.

What’s your Tina theory, and is there any way that you think that this whole blowup is just a strategic move on her part to ensure that everyone targets Tyson rather that her or her daughter? Share your thoughts below! Also, click here in the event that you missed our one-on-one interviews yesterday with both Laura Boneham and John Cody.
