ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3, episode 7 preview: More surprises for Kerry Washington to react to
Just in case you did not feel already like the world of Olivia Pope on “Scandal” was difficult enough, just wait until you see what is coming up around the corner. Next Thursday’s episode carries with it the title of “Everything’s Coming Up Mellie,” and the First Lady is going to make yet another attempt to try and stake her claim once again in the world. However, we have to admit now that we are not altogether worried about that, mostly since almost every plan that Mellie comes up with ends up crashing and burning in her face. She is almost a melodramatic villain in that regard.
But for one Olivia Pope, her more serious problems arise from trying to figure out now just how horrible of an operation Remington really was. One thing to remember here is that if this was not by some measure one of the most horrible, terrible things out there, then you have to imagine that it is something that would not have been easy for Fitz to keep quiet about. But instead, it was a massive, dangerous operation, and the more Olivia learns, the worse it becomes.

“Mellie is still trying to recover from the public backlash of the last year so she decides to do a hard-hitting news interview. Meanwhile, as Cyrus continues to plot against Sally Langston, we learn how Fitz, Mellie and Cyrus became a team. Back at OPA, Huck continues to push Quinn away, but Quinn’s bloodlust could get her into some dangerous situations”
The sheer amount of surprises that could be lurking here spell out entertainment, at least for us. For the characters on this show, we don’t imagine that anyone is really quite entertained. While we have often found on “Scandal” that there is a puppetmaster weaving everything together, that is not happening this time around.
