‘New Girl’ season 3 spoilers: Damon Wayans Jr. commits to full season of Coach
Well, sometimes the impossible just so happens to be possible in the world of television, as it has been confirmed now that the Coach character is going to be around for the rest of this season. This means that there will appropriately be a coach around for the Super Bowl episode, and also everything that ends up following this. That’s a win for Fox and for the show, and it has to be considered a pretty good thing for Wayans to go along with it. He’s a ridiculously funny guy that would have been on the show in the first place were it not for ABC surprisingly ordering more “Happy Endings,” and he is now getting that chance.
As for Damon’s future beyond that, this is where things get a little bit more ambiguous. The actor has already signed on to do develop a new project with Fox, and given that it would be on the same network, it’s possible that he could make a guest spot here and there. However, given the new commitment he would definitely not be a permanent presence. If the new show is not picked up, we presume it as far more possible that he stays around for even longer, depending on what he and the writers decide to do and if there is another show out there that is competing for his services.
So let us put the brakes on the chatter for just a second, and ask the following question: How excited are you over the thought of more Coach for the entire season? Be sure to share below!
