NBC’s ‘The Voice’: James Wolpert, Tessanne Chin among big iTunes winners

The latest -Typically, there is one venue that you can use to predict the winners on “The Voice” above all others: iTunes. Sales on this chart are constantly given a huge amount of emphasis in which artists stay and go, and anyone who lands a top ten hit gets their iTunes votes multiplied. For the show’s standpoint, this is brilliant in that it gets them so much more money; however, at the same time this makes the results rather predictable when you are debating whether or not someone is going to stay or go home.

The last two seasons, we have tried to predict the winners and losers based on these results, and we’re here to do so again with one major surprise: Nobody from Team Blake Shelton this season is tearing things up. Does this mean that the country crooner’s reign is finally over? If nothing else, it proves that he does not have the same sort of for-sure champ that he had with either Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery.

Who is safe for sure – James Wolpert, given that he is in the top ten, and with a song that is not even that well-known among young people. He also went early in the show, which is a sign that Mr. Apple Store is a favorite to win this whole season.

Who is gone for sure – Grey, given that her performance was far out of the top 100. She needed a big performance, but this wasn’t it.

Likely to stay – We would put Tessanne Chin and Cole Vosbury in this group. These two have had songs that have performed well on iTunes, and not even just this week. Cole’s “Let Her Go” cover fared very well.

Likely to leave – Nic Hawk. While Shelbie Z. also is not faring well on the charts, Blake is more likely to keep an original team member and also a country artist around.

Tonight, we’re going to have quite the showdown between the members of Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera’s teams, and there will hopefully be a few more standout performances. Unfortunately, though, it still feels like the real standouts from this group are not on the same level as James or some of the performances from Monday night.
