‘Sleepy Hollow’ spoilers: John Noble confirms he will return for season 2

More -Just in case you were not excited enough already about the prospect of seeing John Noble on “Sleepy Hollow” come Monday night, know this: We are also poised to see the actor making many more appearances on the Fox drama this season, and it will even continue on for the second go-around next year. This keeps Noble firmly at Fox, which is where he was an enormous player for sci-fi fans as a part of “Fringe.”

Noble first made this news official as a part of a new interview with TVLine, where he cited “Fringe” executive producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, who are a part of this show, as one of the reasons why he came on board. They know what he is capable of as an actor, and what sort of part he would want to play on the show. He added that despite the connections to his previous hit, this role is going to be extremely different from the one he played in Walter Bishop.

Just in case you’re curious for a few details right now, this role is going to be that of Henry Parrish, a “sin-eater” who has the unique and somewhat terrifying ability to provide a sense of solace and sanctity for others by washing away their sins. It’s a role that is somewhat melancholy when you consider the sort of weight that Henry carries courtesy of all of this, but it is also one that should be incredibly fascinating to watch. There is almost no better actor that the show could pull in for this than Noble, and it brings in a sort of supernatural presence that, at least to the television medium, is somewhat unique. When was the last time that you saw something like this? While “Sleepy Hollow” may not be there quite yet, these sort of characters are why the potential is here to be one of the most fantastic programs airing on all TV.
