‘Modern Family’ season 5 spoilers: Jesse Eisenberg, ’30 Rock’ alum book guest spots
“Modern Family” is a show that has developed a knack at getting some big-name guest stars to sign on at times in the past, so should we really be too surprised at all to see that there are some more big names coming on board the show soon?
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, we are going to have an opportunity to see three pretty important names in an episode called “Under Pressure,” which is what we are guessing that the producers were feeling like when they had to find worthy guest stars for this half hour. Take a look at all three of the faces who are stopping by below.
Jane Krakowski – The “30 Rock” star, who played loud-mouthed Jenna Maroney for seven years, will play another mean character on this show in Dr. Donna. She is the mother of one of Manny’s classmates, and is going to be someone who ruffles some feathers.
Jesse Eisenberg – The actor behind the role of Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network” is going to play an environmental fanatic who is a neighbor of Cam and Mitchell. Somehow, we seem him doing a pretty good job as a hippie.
John Benjamin Hickey – You may know him best as a star of “The Big C,” but on this show he will play the part of a therapist who lends a helping hand to the Dunphy family (and we can think of few families out there who are in need of a therapist as much as this one is).
Even though “Modern Family” has not been the ratings smash on ABC this year on the same level that we have seen from some other past seasons, it does remain a big success and second only to “The Big Bang Theory” when it comes to hit comedies on TV. Hopefully, it will just be able to keep that momentum going as they dive deep into the November sweeps.
What do you think about these castings, and do you believe that they are all going to fit well into the “Modern Family” universe? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and click here if you’re interested in reading some more news related to the show.
