‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: More on the Count’s return, ‘State v. Queen’
While it may not be the primary story thread on “Arrow” season 2 right now, there is still little questioning that the Moira Queen case is imperative to the story. This is a woman who was at least involved in a sea of death and destruction in the Glades, and thanks to that, she has to potentially pay for that, even if she was not always acting under her own free will in doing so.
This episode airs a little later this month, and is going to not only feature the court case, but also the return of one of the show’s (and the Arrow’s) most-prolific villains in the Count (Seth Gabel), who is going to potentially create a whole mess of trouble by unleashing a new illness all over Starling City. Not only that, but he ends up causing an enormous amount of danger for one of the characters and a valuable Team Arrow member. Take a look at the full synopsis below:
“Oliver (Stephen Amell) is concerned when a mysterious illness sweeps the city, infecting hundreds of people, including Diggle (David Ramsey). Oliver discovers Vertigo in Diggle’s blood and realizes The Count (guest star Seth Gabel) has broken out of prison and is once again distributing his drug. Meanwhile, Moira (Susanna Thompson) goes on trial for her participation in the Undertaking. ADA Adam Donner (guest star Dylan Bruce) collapses in court with Vertigo symptoms so Laurel (Katie Cassidy) must step in and try the case against Moira. Oliver is torn between standing by his family during the trial and catching The Count. However, things change when Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) follows a lead and walks straight into a trap set by The Count.”
Are you starting to take note of the full problem here? It’s pretty simple in that Oliver could be left more or less on his own to handle both the weight of the case, and the weight of what the Count is doing to the city. If he takes a minute away from being there for his mother, he suddenly looks like a terrible person, but that still may be what he has to do in the end.
