‘Downton Abbey’ contest: Celebrate season 4 by winning new ‘Behind the Scenes’ book!
While “Downton Abbey” season 4 is in the home stretch over in the United Kingdom, we are still in the waiting game for the show to be back on the air here in North America. Sunday, January 5 is the date that PBS viewers need to know, since that is when the journey into the lives of Robert, Cora, Mary and some of the other characters will begin again.
You can read more about what the airing schedule is for the new season as a part of the PBS “Masterpiece” series here, but the goal of this article is to announce a great new giveaway that we’re going to be doing over the next week. In celebration of the series, St. Martin’s Press has now released the latest official companion book in Behind the Scenes at Downton Abbey written by Emma Rowley, which takes you through every element of the production from costumes to directing. There are interviews with numerous cast and crew members, and beautiful photographs throughout along with a foreword written by executive producer Gareth Neame. This book is the perfect accessory for a “Downton Abbey” fanatic, and a great Christmas gift with the holidays quickly approaching.
So why not try to win a copy now for free? We’re going to be sending out a copy of this book to the winner of our latest contest, and to enter, all you have to do is just have to answer one simple question: If you were in the fictional world of the show, what character would you want to be your Downton Abbey tour guide and why? Would you want Lady Edith to teach you about the estate’s rich history, or would you prefer to get the viewpoint of someone in Mr. Carson who knows life both upstairs and downstairs? We will pick a winner based on creativity so have fun with your answers!
A few other general contest rules:
1. This contest is open from 2:00 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday, November 2 until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 8. No entries after that time will be accepted. Please submit only one entry per person.
2. Entries to the contest must be located within either the United States (the contiguous 48 states, with apologies to Alaska and Hawaii) or in Canada. Please allow a few weeks for delivery depending on location. The prize will be sent shortly after we contact the winner.
