‘NCIS’ Los Angeles’ season 5 spoilers: Take a dive into Hetty’s past

More scoop -Doesn’t everyone love a good character study sometimes? The entire “NCIS” franchise has done a pretty great job over the years of telling stories that allow us to slowly start to unravel the layers of their characters, and this is precisely what we are going to get for an upcoming “NCIS: Los Angeles” episode when it comes to the Hetty character.

As for what we are talking about here specifically, it is the show’s upcoming November 12 episode “Fallout” (otherwise known as the one airing a week from Tuesday). Based on the official synopsis released via CBS, this is going to be one that provides at least a little more insight into this Hetty character and how someone from her past could actually put her entire career into jeopardy:

“When an antiterrorism device is stolen, the team must quickly find the suspect and the device before an attack is made against Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Hetty realizes the case is bringing her back to someone from her past.”

What is interesting about this Hetty character is that upon first glance, you would think of her almost as the librarian, or the sage of the office that was not always around for anything other than to pass on some wisdom, but she is much more than that, and can even be intimidating at times. That is why there is also a certain joy in watching her show off a little bit of the vulnerable side, and prove that there is something lying underneath the occasionally-tough exterior. Also, we’re hoping that Sam, Callen, and the other agents all choose to rally behind her in a time in which they feel like they need to.

What do you think of the idea of a Hetty-centric episode during the key November sweeps, and is this a character that you can see having so much more when it comes to a worthy backstory? Share below, and be sure to also click here if you do want to watch a preview for the next new episode.
