‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: A trip down memory lane for Jensen Ackles’ Dean

Take a look -When you have the likes of the King of Hell and fallen angels to think about, you can probably understand why Sam and Dean Winchester on “Supernatural” do not spend too much time looking back into their own past. Why would they even bother?

Well, the characters are going to be in a situation where they will at least think about some of what happened in their past on “Bad Boys,” which is an episode coming your way in the November sweeps on Tuesday, November 19 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. This is one that will show off a different side to Jensen Ackles’ character, or at least one that even his own brother in Sam had little idea even existed.

Take a look at the synopsis below if you want to get a few more details on what we are talking about here:

“Dean (Jensen Ackles) gets a call from an old friend named Sonny (guest star Blake Gibbons) asking for help with a ghost. Sonny runs a home for delinquent boys, and Dean was sent there for stealing food when he was younger. Sam (Jared Padalecki) is stunned he never knew this about his brother and asks for more information, but Dean dodges his questions.”

So it really should not come across as too surprising to anyone that we would see Dean be cagey about his past, or for there to be another reason for there to be tension between the brothers yet again. After all, this seems to happen at least a few times a season. But we like the idea of a story that at least has some sort of history not steeped in just supernatural things and while there’s still a ghost involved here, there is also something human about it. What makes this show such fun entertainment is that real characters have been created, and they are not just drowning under a pile of mythology and colorful characters.

We do still have a ways to go before we get to “Bad Boys” airing, and for the time being, we suggest to just click here if you are interested in reading all about another Dean-centered episode in “Dog Dean Afternoon.”
