‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7 spoilers: A near-‘Freaky Friday’ reference; Kate Micucci’s return

A look ahead -So when is Kate Micucci coming back on “The Big Bang Theory” this season? Ever since her character of Lucy decided to move on from Raj at the end of last season, feeling like she was not ready for the same sort of relationship that he was, we have been wondering when she might make a return to the show.

Well, you will get an opportunity to see Micucci back as the Lucy character come November 14, when the CBS behemoth airs the episode entitled “The Itchy Brain Simulation.” This is one that will actually have her working more with Kaley Cuoco than Kunal Nayyar, though, as Penny tries to get some more information from Lucy as to why Raj’s heart got broken. This could either close the door on the romance and provide closure, or potentially give some hope that she could be back at some point.

In addition to this, the full synopsis below also teases that there is going to be a Sheldon / Leonard story that at least reminds us partially of “Freaky Friday,” with the exception being that only one character seems to be forced into living the life of the other:

“Leonard tries to keep Sheldon from overreacting when a past mistake comes to light, but Sheldon punishes Leonard by making him walk a mile in his shoes. Meanwhile, Penny confronts Raj’s ex-girlfriend, Lucy.”

Given that tonight is Halloween and many families are out trick-or-treating, CBS understandably made the move tonight to keep the show in reruns. Do we think that they could have delivered a great Halloween special? Sure, but when the holiday falls on a Thursday, networks most often decide that they don’t want to lose the live viewers just for the sake of having a story take place on the holiday. There may be a Halloween special next year, at least depending on if there is a good story for it. When you are this far along in a run, you almost have to rely on that first and foremost.

Are you looking forward to seeing more of Lucy, and do you want her to stick around? Share below! Personally, we’re at odds over it; while we like Micucci, it just feels a little odd to have four geeky guys all in relationships. When was the last time that happened in real life?

Next week, the show will welcome Bill Nye and welcome back Bob Newhart. Click here to find out more about that.
