ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Nathan Fillion, Molly Quinn team up for emotional episode
Over the past several days, we have teased a “Castle” episode called “Like Father, Like Daughter” that was going to be an important one for the Castle / Alexis relationship … and we’re talking in a way that does not constantly include Pi in the equation. Sometimes, you can have a little too much Pi, and you start to get a tummyache from it. But is this going to be another rescue mission? Far from it; instead, Alexis is going to actually reach out to her father for help.
This episode is slated to air a week from Monday, and the full synopsis below should give you all sorts of great detail that there is not only going to be an engaging plot, but also some particularly great guest stars like Joelle Carter (Ava Crowder!) to go along with it:
“Alexis enlists Castle’s help on an Innocence Review case to prove that a death row inmate, Frank Henson (guest star James Carpinello, ‘The Good Wife’), was wrongly convicted. With only 72 hours left before his execution, Castle and Alexis (with help from Beckett) urgently investigate the original murder, only to uncover explosive secrets that may seal Frank’s fate. Joelle Carter (‘Justified’) guest stars as Frank’s long-time girlfriend who has always believed in him.”
The photo above shows Nathan Fillion and Molly Quinn’s characters together, and are possibly reforging some of their bonds in the process. While it’s been easy to blame Pi for everything that is troubling the two, the reality here is that there is a deeper issue that has not been properly explored to this point: How Castle’s engagement is affecting Alexis. While she may like the detective, that is a little different than having her be a stepmom. These two really need to have some time to bond, which we are hoping that there is some sort of side story coming for the two that could be both hilarious, and also necessary if there is ever a way for this engagement to work.

I would like Alexis to be written off the show. I don’t like her character anymore, and any time that is spent on her is a waste.

I would like to see a working out of thr problems that beckett and alexis have.
This is Castles daughter and the love that he has for her is quite lovely. Lets do bring Beckett into this and have the three of them work through the situation that is brewing.
Yes, Alexis has changed- she’s growing up- and we all know that brings about change in a young girls life,
She has been through a somewhat relationship with her mother, Gina, and now Beckett.
Lets do develope a story here so Rick and Kate can make it work.
