‘American Horror Story: Coven’ episode 4 preview: Jessica Lange and ‘Fearful Pranks Ensue’

Are you ready for an all-out witch war on “American Horror Story: Coven”? We may not be there yet, but we are certainly coming a little bit closer now than we have so far in the season. Next week’s episode “Fearful Pranks Ensue” has a title that seems appropriate, since we are looking at an episode that is airing on “Mischief Night,” known by many as the time in which the creepy and the crazy really come out to play.

There will at least be a little more order in this episode versus what you traditionally see in real life … at least when it comes to structure. Do you want to read more about the episode before watching the promo? Then just take a look at the synopsis below:

“Fiona’s choices rattle a decades-long truce between the Salem witches and Marie Laveau. The Council of Witchcraft pays a surprise visit to the Academy with disturbing allegations. Written by Jennifer Salt; directed by Michael Uppendahl.”

So it looks like Jessica Lange’s character is going to have a few more people to battle, and in our book that is almost always a good thing. The more adversaries for Fiona, the better, right? Well, she’s going to get more than a few of them before this season of the show comes to a close. If you think that you have seen crazy already, just know that the next three or four episodes in particular will blow your mind, and this one in particular may be the craziest. This is a show that really goes all-out the week of Halloween given how well it knows its audience, and we really don’t think that is going to be changing anytime soon.
