‘The Walking Dead’ season 4, episode 3 preview: ‘Isolation,’ and Andrew Lincoln fires away

Andrew Lincoln -Before we say anything else when it comes to next week’s “The Walking Dead” season 4 episode, let’s start things off by talking about something that we find to be personally a little annoying: Seeing that AMC has chosen to sponsor out their promos. When you have a show that is literally setting records as the most-watched cable show of all time, you don’t need to get even more money by throwing ad campaigns into your promotional material. Haven’t they made zombies corporate enough? Next thing you know, you’ll see zombies driving around in brand new Ford while drinking Pepsi and wearing Ed Hardy shirts.

Now, we turn to the episode entitled “Isolation,” which is going to be all about that feeling that you get when you are separated from the rest of the world in some way. This is something that almost everyone in this prison must feel in some way when you think about it. They are all separated from the world that they once knew, and they don’t even know who to trust anymore.

The official synopses for “The Walking Dead” episodes are not always particularly revealing, but you can at least gleam a few details from the one below:

“A group leaves the prison to search for supplies; the remaining members of the group deal with recent losses.”

Some of the most significant events on the series involve violence. Rick is going to realize (and it didn’t take long) that he is going to need to pick up a gun on a few occasions in order to help out, just as Daryl realizes that he pretty much has to be amazing all of the time … and he is. How many other people out there are hoping that he and Carol actually happen as a couple? We know that Carol is a rather polarizing character, but still … we’re a fan of this hook up happening.

Is there anything in particular that you want to see on “Isolation,” and do you think that this is an especially appropriate title for the episode given the dark subject matter for the show?
