‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7, episode 6 preview: Sheldon breaks the periodic table

Here it is -For much of his life, Sheldon Cooper has long hoped for some sort of great scientific breakthrough that he can use to hold over the heads of all of his friends proudly. (Yep, he is that kind of guy through and through.) But what happens when he actually does seemingly achieve something great? That is going to be the focus of next week’s all-new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” season 7, and there is going to be some pretty awesome consequences when we learn that Sheldon’s big discovery may have been the product of something out of his control: Luck.

Let’s start things off here with what it was exactly that Sheldon discovered in the first place: A new element. We’re guessing here that this is the sort of thing that you would see on the periodic table, and we hope that he names it something like Sheldonium or Startrekium. Anything that serves as a geek reference would be game in our book.

But, it is just when the applause starts to roll in for him that he begins to realize that there may actually be a flaw, and his “discovery” may not really be that at all. This could lead of course to mass embarrassment for Sheldon, but let’s frame our question this way: Who is really going to be that upset over seeing Sheldon suffer a little bit of comeuppance for some of the things that he has done to others in the past? This is a guy who has made making life terrible for other people a hobby, if not an obsession. Just because he does not realize to the full extent that what he does has a negative effect on others does not mean that he just should be given license to cause even more chaos without a few consequences.

Basically, what we’re trying to say here is that as big of a personality as Sheldon may be, and while we want to see him win sometimes, it’s also fun to see him fail. It’s even more fun to see him fail and still try to come out as all knowing.

We are going to have some more “Big Bang Theory” related scoop very soon, so be sure to stay tuned for more on that; meanwhile, click here if you want to read our full review of what happened last night.
