‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’: See Brandi Glanville act in new Lifetime movie
NeNe Leakes is not the only star of “The Real Housewives” franchise that is trying to make a serious go at acting as Brandi Glanville also is going to be showing off some of her own skills. In the video below via ET Online, you can see the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star appearing in the upcoming Lifetime movie “Missing at 17,” which premieres on Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
The story itself is pretty simple, as it revolves around a teenager who runs away from home after learning that she is adopted, and searches to try to find her biological mother. Brandi’s role is supporting in the project, but it is the first time since joining the Bravo franchise that she has been on a scripted show and played a character other than herself.
While this is a great gig for Brandi, she does have a little while to go if she wants to surpass NeNe as the queen of “Real Housewives”-related acting jobs. Had “The New Normal” actually been picked up for a second season, she would have gotten the honor to be a series regular on it. With that being said, Brandi’s performance is actually pretty decent here. We’re not saying that to slam on her, but most of the ladies that we’ve seen from the Bravo franchise have routinely let us down so much that we almost expect disaster right away. But Brandi holds her own in the scene, and the best thing that we could say about her is that if she was not famous already, we would not be able to differentiate her from anyone else.
This news comes out not too long before the premiere of the latest season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” on November 4, which is going to be a big night for the series. Will it continue to keep people invested? While this show is one of the more entertaining in the franchise, it needs to have something this season that really gets people talking again.
