ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 5 preview: Nathan Fillion, ‘Chuck’s’ Joshua Gomez collide
Why is Joshua Gomez on next week’s “Castle” episode? His character believes that he is time traveler, and not the cool one like in “Doctor Who”. He’s completely delusional. Time travel doesn’t exist in this world, but if it did, we would want it to be someone like one of the former stars of “Chuck.” Anyone who reads this site knows that this is one of our favorite shows of all time, and one that we could watch time and time again.
The promo below for “Time Will Tell” also makes us believe that this will be one of our favorite cases ever. As a matter of fact, we’re inclined to side with Rick after hearing what he says about the case to Beckett. The idea of dealing with time travel sounds amazing, and Nathan Fillion’s character is the sort that would buy into this stuff. We imagine conspiracy theories, excuses made for Gomez’s character, and plenty more before we actually learn whether or not he is a killer.

“A grisly murder investigation leads Castle and Beckett to a suspect (Joshua Gomez, ‘Chuck,’ guest stars as Simon Doyle) who claims he’s traveled back in time to stop terrible events from unfolding, events that will change the course of human history. Is he simply a deluded killer, or is it possible that he’s telling the truth?”
Gomez is the third major “Chuck” star in the past few seasons to appear on the show, as he joins his former on-screen girlfriend Mekenna Melvin and Adam Baldwin, the father of Kelvin’s character. It’s clear at least to us that there is a mutual fondness between the shows, and it also certainly helps that Fillion and Baldwin worked together on “Firefly.”
As for what else we want to see, let’s keep it simple: Something involving Alexis that does not include Pi. This story had so much potential, but it’s going nowhere fast.
