‘The Good Wife’ season 4, episode 3 preview: ‘A Precious Commodity,’ and Will vs. Diane

The latest -Right now, Alicia Florrick has a reason to be uncertain about her employment status. She has considered and planned a move to her own business away from Lockhard Gardner ever since the end of last season, but could there be something out there to possibly cause her to change her mind? That is something that will be raised on next week’s new episode of “The Good Wife,” otherwise known as “a show we hope really does not get delayed because of football.”

This episode is entitled “A Precious Commodity,” and while we would love to sit here and debate all of the finer things that will happen with Alicia next week, we really have to spend a few more minutes talking about what is coming with Will and Diane. Based on the promo video below, that is the real battle, and it may also be what allows us to get one of the finest performances that we’ve seen to date from Christine Baranski (and that is saying something).

For Diane, the question is whether or not her own possible appointments elsewhere puts her at a conflict of interest with her colleagues, and a bold move will be taken to squeeze her out. To read more, just take a look at the full synopsis below via CBS:

“Will makes Alicia a stunning offer which causes her to reconsider her plans to leave the firm. Also, the partners take action when Diane’s Supreme Court candidacy puts her at odds with her colleagues.”

Sound dramatic? To us, it is exactly what we have been waiting to see from this show in the midst of a pretty stellar year so far.
