NBC’s ‘Grimm’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Suits’ alum nabs recurring role

The latest -With season 3 of “Grimm” not starting up until we get near the end of October on the 25th, it’s fair to say that for the time being, any sort of news or spoilers has been at a minimum. Lucky, we’re pleased to be here and saying that this is at least partially changing now.

So what do we have to report today? According to TVLine, Sharon Leaf, known for the TV movie of “Dreamgirls” perhaps more so than anything else, is going to recur across multiple episodes of the freaky NBC drama in the role of  Zuri Ellis, a woman who possesses quite the healing touch. Specifically, she’s a physical therapist of sorts who helps Hank recover from an ankle injury, and she has a “mysterious” quality to her as well. Anytime that you hear the word “mysterious” bandied about with someone on “Grimm,” it should at least make your eyebrow rise up somewhat.

One other interesting thing about this casting news? That there is already a little bit of history there between Leaf and Russell Hornsby, as the two spent a little time playing off of each other during an episode of “Suits” that aired back in 2011. Therefore, you have to think that there will be at least a little bit of chemistry there, right?

The challenge for “Grimm” moving into the fall, as with almost any other series out there, is trying to find a good solid way to actually keep interest levels at a high, and people tuning in on a night in Fridays where most are inclined to go out and party. One thing that we do like to think provides a benefit? That the show is coming back less than a week before Halloween. If there is ever a show that fits that ghostly holiday perfectly, this is it.
