‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: Candice Accola on Stefan storyline, and more
Are you starting to settle in after the “Vampire Diaries” premiere? Even though it was only an hour of television, the folks over at The CW really jammed that episode full of juicy content. You had the murder of roommate Megan, the rampage of Silas throughout Mystic Falls, and Bonnie realizing that another member of her family was joining her in the land of the dead. Also, you had Elena and Damon continuing their relationship at a distance, and the reveal that Tyler Lockwood, who was still away during the episode, decided to defer his attendance at school for a little while longer.
But lost in all of this insanity, at least for Caroline, is what happened to her longtime friend and mentor-of-sorts in Stefan. Even though he has been around her and the rest of the characters since the beginning of the series, she is not making too much of his disappearance … at least for now. However, she also told Zap2It that this is something that could change in the near future:
“Right now, to be quite honest, she’s not that concerned with Stefan’s whereabouts. She’s concerned for him to maybe have some time to himself, since he’s not real thrilled about Damon and Elena being together. But we’re not going into the season with Caroline wondering where Stefan is. Obviously as the season progresses, she’s going to try and figure out where he is, and eventually will learn of Silas and Katherine and stuff.”
Right now, it is pretty clear that you will see that change sooner rather than later. While Paul Wesley may be having a good time running around and being completely evil for a change, Stefan drowning again and again loses some of that “oh [bleep]” effect the fourth or the fifth time that you see it.

While he may want Elena all to himself, he does not want to see Stefan suffer in the process.
