ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3 spoilers: Kerry Washington on Olivia, Fitz, and new parameters

When “Scandal” season 3 picks back up on Thursday, there will be more questions to answer … and, there will also be questions left to answer once it is over. There are 22 episodes here, people; you have to be ready for the hard truth that this is going to take a little bit of time to sort out.

But just what sort of stories are we going to dive into this season? Think along the lines of ones that will get your blood boiling, your heart beating a little faster, and also logging off Twitter to keep yourself from saying anything crazy that your relatives or co-workers might see. There are so many juicy stories to touch on here, but let’s not bury the lead story of Olivia and Fitz any longer, given that there could be a 30-foot robot version of Abe Lincoln attacking the city and this would still be what most people care about.

After the two had their intense, awkward, and painful meeting in the premiere, Kerry Washington gives the most “go figure” quote to TVLine about where their relationship goes next, and then teases something very enticing in that they could still be seeing each other in some shape or form:

“They’ll have to define the new rules. And as more information unravels, their relationship will continue to evolve.”

As for the show’s real version of android Abe, it is the Operation Remington story that was teased during the premiere … and no, this is not a crossover story with “Remington Steele.” Everything coming out now suggests that this is going to be a storyline that is both “awful” and dark,” which leads to us having the reaction of legitimate excitement about it.
