ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6: The future adventures of Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and ‘Chuck’ alum

For “Castle” season 6 so far, much of it has just been oh so serious. There have been explosions, deaths, and near-deaths (see Castle himself). So where can the series go from here, and where should it go? To put it frankly, this is the title in which silly things should happen … and you have to believe that they will.

First of all, we begin with “Time Will Tell,” which has to be the coolest-sounding episode of the year for a couple of reasons. First, Joshua Gomez of “Chuck” fame is guest-starring, and he and Nathan Fillion have a mutual connection in Adam Baldwin (who was of course Jayne aboard Malcolm Reynolds’ “Firefly” ship). Therefore, is there going to be fun Adam Baldwin story-sharing time? Maybe that is just a silly little thought that we like to envision between the two of them.

As for the second thing, it’s an episode featuring Gomez as a time-traveler. What’s not to like? The title is “Time Will Tell,” and the synopsis below (via SpoilerTV) practically screams that this is going to be something that Rick gets himself far too excited about, only to later realize that he has been duped the whole time:

“A suspect (Joshua Gomez) in a grisly murder claims he has traveled back in time to prevent terrible events from unfolding.”

Now, we turn to some other goodies in the episode that follows, which has the title of “Get a Clue.” Is this the episode inspired in part by “The Da Vince Code” and that sort of political conspiracy motif? These are the indications right now which means that you get two straight weeks of possible Richard Castle conspiracy theories. It’s basically like getting a whole pie rather than just a slice of TV heaven.
