‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6: Theo Rossi, Tommy Flanagan head online to talk ‘The Mad King’
When “Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter first said earlier this year that his “Anarchy Afterword” web series would have three episode that air over the course of the season, two of things were clear: One would air after the season premiere, and the other would air after the season finale. However, there was some ambiguity left in the middle there for an episode that could serve as the meat to the SAMCRO sandwich.
Now, you know when you are going to be taking that third bite: Tuesday night. The latest edition of the aftershow will be broadcast on the official “Sons of Anarchy” site at 11:30 p.m. Eastern time, which is barely a breath after the end of the next episode. The guests are going to be a trio of awesome folks that you’ve come to love over the years: Sutter and series stars Theo Rossi (Juice) and Tommy Flanagan (Chibs). The celebrity superfan coming on the show will be Retta from “Parks and Recreation,” who is basically the best celebrity superfan you can get for any show. The woman loves watching (and tweeting) about TV almost as much as she does being on it.
Obviously, there is one interesting implication that comes from the aftershow coming on for this week: Does this mean that “The Mad King” episode is going to be a huge one? They are going to have a hard time topping the deaths of Otto and Lee Toric, and we wonder if this is more about timing. If they had the “Afterword” immediately after “Wolfsangel,” there would be too big of a gap between that one and the one following the finale. We’re sure that the deaths are still going to remain a hot topic regardless. While we’re lucky to have three of these, there is a part of us that wished FX had upped the total to four, just so that there could be another after episode 9 or 10.
