ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3, episode 2 preview: Who is Janine, and can she be saved?

Next week on “Scandal,” you can expect the drama to rise in a number of ways, and it does not quite matter if you are talking about Olivia Pope or some other members of the cast. The Gladiators have their work cut out for them here, as they will be looking to protect a woman who is being accused of doing something that Olivia is actually guilty of.

The new episode airing next week is entitled “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” and the synopsis below actually suggests that there is going to be so much more here in play than just trying to figure out whether or not Janine, the new client who was the woman accused, is actually someone who can be helped:

“Through flashbacks we learn more about Olivia’s estranged relationship with her father. Meanwhile, both the White House and Pope & Associates are still in the middle of cleaning up the very big and very public mess they created.”

There is still a great deal of mystery on a number of other subjects, and the primary one to us is whether or not some of the other Gladiators are going to be rising to the occasion with their own stories again soon. There was almost nothing at all from Huck in the premiere, Quinn was a ghost, and Abby only had a couple of lines. There will be some good stuff to come from them, but it will all be a question of timing … and patience. Until then, you have quite a bit to look forward to just when it comes to Olivia and some of the madness in her life.
