Based on what the reviews for “The Originals” are right now, the reaction that we are seeing for this episode is that while many do seem to enjoy what we are seeing, there has also been a certain amount of negativity over that the premiere that was more or less the same story as in the backdoor pilot that aired in the spring, just from a different perspective.
So where does the show go from here? Next week’s episode is the first containing a completely-new story, and it will also mark the first episode that allows us an opportunity to see what really happens when Rebekah turns up in New Orleans after spending the premiere away. Before you do anything else, be sure to read the synopsis below:
“When Rebekah (Claire Holt) arrives in New Orleans at her brother Elijah’s (Daniel Gillies) insistence, she meets Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), who gives her some unexpected news. Concerned that her brother Klaus is up to no good, Rebekah seeks help from a reluctant Sophie (Daniella Pineda.) At her wits’ end, Hayley takes matters into her own hands, but things quickly take a dangerous turn. Determined to uncover Marcel’s (Charles Michael Davis) secret weapon, Klaus stays one step ahead and executes his plan. Meanwhile, after a run-in with Marcel, Rebekah is reminded of all the anger and disappointment Klaus has caused her throughout the years. Finally, Marcel enlists Davina’s (Danielle Campbell) help in his own dangerous plan.”
Does this make you excited about the episode yet? We hope so, since it will give you more of an opportunity to know all of the characters better (especially the new ones that you have not seen altogether much of yet).
As for the video below, you really get a sense of a little bit of everything. The twist that is present there with it is simply that most of the footage there is from the entire series moving forward, and not just one episode.
