‘Homeland’ season 3, episode 2 preview: Take a look at story ahead, Damian Lewis’ return
At the end of tonight’s “Homeland” season 3 premiere, Showtime aired a little bit of a different sort of promo than we are accustomed to seeing. Rather than just getting a sense as to what is going to happen on the show next week, we instead got a look ahead at the rest of the entire season’s worth of episodes. Suffice it to say that we are in for a pretty bumpy ride moving forward.
Among some of the bigger stories that we are going to see include the following:
1. Carrie’s struggle – At first, she is going to try to get the press to tell her side of the story. At some point during all of this, she will even try to flee to get away from the madness, and from the feeling that she is being treated as the fall guy for something that goes so much deeper than her.
What is the most intriguing part of the promo below to us is the sight of Carrie and Jess actually walking side by side, and we imagine that the two of them have about a million things to talk about.
2. Brody’s next move – While we don’t get to see much of him in the promo, he is beyond bald at one point, and it is abundantly clear that his journey to try and hide is not going to be without some serious bumps in the road.
3. Saul continues his own quest – For him right now, his goal is to try and get America to trust and believe in the CIA’s use again. If that takes selling Carrie out and labeling her, that is what he has to do at this point. There is such a thing, after all, as the point of no return.
