‘Justified’ season 5 spoilers: Michael Rapaport takes on potential Big Bad role

The latest -Do we have the new answer to Margo Martindale on “Justified” season 5? There is at least a little bit of irony here, as the leader of the family set to be the heir apparent for the Bennett family is someone that actually appeared with Margo briefly on the pilot for “The Millers.”

According to TVLine, Michael Rapaport, who was recast after the original pilot was filmed of the CBS sitcom, has signed on to play the important role of Dale Crowe Jr., the leader of a very ruthless clan of folk in Florida. He’s good-looking, charismatic, and on the surface it looks as though he runs a gator farm. In reality, though the sort of business that he is up to is far more dangerous than that. He could be a major adversary to Raylan this year depending on the direction in which the writers take his story; if nothing else, this is a change-up from a story that did not exactly follow the Big Bad formula earlier this year (one that we really liked, but not everyone else did).

There is some sort of relationship here between Dale and Dewey Crowe, who has spent some time with Boyd Crowder at times on the series. Dale has been mentioned on “Justified” in the past, and we actually really like that this is a story that the show must have been planning in some capacity for some time. Dale’s not just a fly-by-night villain that they thought of to bring the show back to what critics believe are its glory years.
