‘Homeland’ season 3, episode 1 preview: What to expect from Claire Danes, cast in premiere
It’s been a long wait since the end of “Homeland” season 2, and since that time you’ve surely been looking for some sort of answers to a few questions. Is Brody really going to get away without an issue, is Carrie going to be able to move forward, and will Saul handle his new duties leading the CIA well? We have answers to all of those for you now as we get set to preview the new episode airing on Sunday night.
The first thing to be aware of is that you’re not going to get any direct answers from the Brody side until episode 3, but we can at least promise that you will start to see a little of the Jess story before then. Dana is quite possibly the member of this family that will be most interesting to watch, as it will become more and more clear over time just how profound of an impact her father really had on her life. Also, do not forget how much she tried to stand up for him at the end of last season.
For Carrie, the story will revolve around trying to move forward, but that is going to be difficult when you have a Senate committee breathing down your neck and trying to fire questions at you over what really happened at Langley. Desperation is a good way to describe what you are going to be seeing: The government will be desperate to pin the attack on someone, which will then put Saul in a very interesting position.
One thing that has not been touched on here or on other sites is that there is an interesting scene in here between Saul and a different woman that is important to his life, and just within a minute or two, you get a chance to learn just how complicated of a man he really is.
Want to read some more “Homeland” scoop? We’ve got more on Jess Brody here, some goodies on Saul here, and finally an interesting story about why production in Israel has been moved to Morocco.
