NBC’s ‘The Voice’: See winner Danielle Bradbery’s ‘The Heart of Dixie’ music video

Danielle BradberyTalk about good timing. On the same exact day that NBC plans to kick off their latest season of “The Voice,” the most-recent winner of the singing competition is bringing her original music to the table in “The Heart of Dixie.” You may have already heard the song from Danielle Bradbery; now, you get an opportunity to check out the video.

Admittedly, we had the basic outline of the video down before we even watched it. Given that Danielle is a teenager and far too young to tell the story of the song from first-hand experience, the song was more about a story that is being told to her. There are flashbacks, great imagery of a car, and some pretty lovely flowers and butterflies thrown in there as well. It’s interesting that given this song mentions all sorts of booze, the video still feels very age-appropriate (but not in a cheesy way that is going to make adults cringe).

Big Machine is doing a good job getting Danielle’s career off to a fast start, and not making her music feel rushed in the process. She’s working on an album due later this fall, and she also will be opening for Brad Paisley on some upcoming dates. All of this is great for throwing her right into the industry, and not treating her just like the winner of a singing competition. It’s hard for “Voice” alums to keep their career going strong, and right now, she and fellow winner Cassadee Pope are the best things that the show has going for it.
