‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ review: Let’s talk Melissa Gorga and that recording career
We could sit here during this “Real Housewives of New Jersey” episode review and talk quite a bit about what happened when it comes to Jacqueline Laurita and the latest round of rumor-spreading courtesy of Penny and other outsiders, but really, we’re tired of it. This is the part of the Bravo series that is becoming unbearable to watch, given that we typically see this happen almost every time that we watch the show.
Since we’re completely over the “more of the same” approach, why not focus on something that was the best part of this episode by a mile? Yep, we’re talking about Melissa Gorga blabbing on about trying to get a music career going again that was barely going in the first place. The reason that we love this is not because we’re a fan of the music that she makes. Heck, we find the whole idea of reality TV wives constantly believing that they are pop stars to be both frustrating and annoying.
However, we love the comedy of it all, including Melissa rehearsing in a studio with producers without knowing her lines; also, she has such blind conviction in the way in which she believes she is amazing. She is putting a good bit of work into trying to make that happen, but seeing her actually become a singing star is pretty far-fetched.
We genuinely believe that comedy is the reason that these stories surrounding music are still on the air, and for that reason, we expect that they are still very much far from over.
