For its latest poster, “American Horror Story: Coven” seems to be very interested in drawing from its other promotional material … at least when it comes to showing off some of the images that it has highlighted as of late.
There are quite a few things that you can draw from this poster, but let’s start with the obvious: You have Jessica Lange’s character of Fiona sitting in front of a fireplace, surrounded by some of the “floating women” that we’ve seen in the preview. While it’s still unclear what the purpose we are wondering if they are students of Fiona that are being forced to be in this position? If so, we feel for them very much. Then again, it’s much worse if they are people that she is holding prisoner / trophies from past achievements. When you are a witch, anything is really possible.
Meanwhile, there is also “Cow-Person” lying on the floor. You likely remember this character from one of the other teasers for the season, and it is almost lying in the same exact position. The easy thing to assume here that Cow-Person is someone that has been cursed by the witches, and then possibly killed off. We do have to say that it is at least a pretty cool creation: It’s not nearly as terrifying as Bloody Face, and it gives us a much more interesting reaction than Rubber Man. Let’s just hope that the purpose of this person lives up to the hype, since we’re sitting here starting to build them up as something great.
“American Horror Story: Coven” premieres on FX on Wednesday, October 9, and we are of course going to have much more scoop on the show over the next couple of weeks?
