‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ preview: Melissa Gorga vs. a recording studio
Just in case you felt like this season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” was somehow lacking when it came to music, you’re going to get your fill and then some on Sunday night when Melissa Gorga re-enters the studio to work on a new song. The problem? Not only is this vocally-challenging, but she hasn’t even had the time to hammer down the words to it just yet.
In the video below, you can see what is a pretty obvious struggle going on with her as she tries to figure out just what she is going to do when it is proposed to her to come out to Orlando to work on some recording there. So what does she decide to do? The following synopsis more or less gives it away:
“The heat is on for Caroline’s boys as they open their new restaurant and face their harshest critic yet. Meanwhile, Melissa travels to Orlando for a test of her own: a live radio performance that could reignite her music career. Back in NJ, both Teresa and Jacqueline face attacks on their integrity as the opening of a new boutique brings them face to face with their enemies.”
Let’s take a minute here to ask the question that is surely on your mind: When was Melissa’s career actually ignited? Most of these songs by “Real Housewives” are insane, and we don’t know why so many of them want to be stars in the club music scene. “Tardy for the Party” to us is really the only one that works, and Kandi Burruss is really the only Housewife that should go near the music industry on a regular basis. (We don’t think Kim Zolciak has another hit in her.)
