‘Duck Dynasty’ season 4, episode 6 review: A missing Si leads to missing fun

Tonight on “Duck Dynasty,” we really learned quite a few things … including just what the show would look like if Si wasn’t around for a good part of it.

Si is an interesting beast in many ways. While there is a certain part of his family that we see a ton of on the show, there is also another part of it that we really do not see very much of at all. By this, we are mostly referring to is how Si is away from Duck Commander. Where is his family? Well, apparently a good many of them are out of state.

With his absence, we cannot completely say that we really enjoyed much of this half-hour, unless your idea of enjoyment is watching John Luke get sedated at the dentist. Basically, you were watching an older version of “David After Dentist.” Remember that famed YouTube clip? It did at least produce some laughs, and the good news here is that the guy has something more to laugh about now.

But in the end, we really don’t enjoy the episodes that focus more on Willie’s family, since they are the most-normal people out of the group. John Luke is probably one of the popular kids that is hard for geeks like we are to relate to. With this storyline and little Si, this was probably the weakest installment of the season so far.
