‘Breaking Bad’ season 5 spoilers: Episode 15, series finale to run 75 minutes
For those of you wondering how in the world “Breaking Bad” was going to wrap things up in two episodes, or basically around 42-45 minutes of actual footage, we have an answer for you now: They are going to go a little bit beyond the typical runtime.
According to executive producer Peter Gould, the AMC sensation is going to have its final two episodes extended to 75 minutes including commercials. That means that there will be a better opportunity to fit everything in there, and it also means that “Low Winter Sun” will start late (for that tiny handful of you that are still watching), and we assume that the same will be true for “Talking Bad.” Ultimately, we still don’t quite understand why the aftershow is not just airing after “Breaking Bad” at this point, since “Low Winter Sun” is becoming a hindrance and viewers have absolutely revolted to how much the show is getting shoved down their throats. (On a different note, is this the biggest squandering of a lead-in ever?)
The “Breaking Bad” series finale is something that we are expecting at this point to shatter ratings, at least when it comes to what the show has done on the network over the years. We already love that the numbers are pretty much twice this summer that they were last year, and it once again is reassurance that the quality on this show is key more so than anything else. (Take that, network TV!)
