‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6: Charlie Hunnam’s ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ casting leads to changes
Thankfully, what we are talking about here is not changes to the story line of “Sons of Anarchy.” Instead, Charlie Hunnam is now having to deal with something that has to feel somewhat strange, given that he has yet to film a single frame for the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie: Throngs of fans and photographers trying to capture his every move.
We know already that major publications are tying to publish articles of Hunnam being seen on the set, which is particularly annoying given that it could potentially ruin scenes from the FX series without the paparazzi even intending to. Are “50 Shades” fans really going to get anything out of seeing Charlie film “Sons of Anarchy”? Fans of the novel really can’t care about him riding around on a motorcycle, and fans of the series definitely don’t want to be spoiled on the story. This is one of those shows were it is fun to speculate, and then have the element of surprise strike you in the face when the episode airs.
Also, The Hollywood Reporter claims that “Fifty Shades of Grey” fans have already been appearing near the show’s set with books in hand, which potentially causes security problems. Already, there has at least been one occasion (the season 6 premiere party earlier this month) where the movie studio has hired extra security for Hunnam in order to protect his safety. If this all is happening now, we can only imagine the pandemonium for the show’s seventh season. The movie is going to film during the hiatus, and then Charlie will dive back into “Sons of Anarchy” come next spring. (Season 7 is reportedly going to be the last.)
