‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 notes: Natalie Dormer talks filming; more casting news
As Winter is Coming discovered via her CV, Paola Dionisotti has been cast on the show to play the part of Lady Anya Waynwood. This is a character that is tied very closely to Yohn Royce, whose casting was announced last week, as they are each tied the Vale. Waynwood in particular is allied to House Arryn, and both characters do not actually appear until the fourth booth in the George R.R. Martin A Song of Fire and Ice series. These castings are strong evidence of what was previously reported, in that the plan is to divide up season 4 in some ways between several books. We imagine that much of A Feast of Crows will be cut, being that it introduces so many new people and also does not feature a fan favorite new to the series.
As for Natalie Dormer, the actress spoke to Entertainment Weekly recently on a variety of subjects, and she had nothing but joyful things to say about the experience of coming back on the show’s set:
“It’s like going back to school after the summer. It’s a cliché thing to say, but… we’re a big, happy family. [The show’s creators and producers] have this incredible energy and it filters down to our incredible crew and our massive cast.”
Dormer has a very busy year ahead of her. After she is through filming her role as Margaery Tyrell, she will film the latest edition of “The Hunger Games” franchise. When you add to that everything else that she has going on with potentially returning to “Elementary,” you have in the end one heck of a busy schedule.
