NBC’s ‘Revolution’ season 2 promo: A new constitution is crafted
For those of you who like those traditional American themes of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness mixed in with your “Revolution” promos, the latest one courtesy of NBC is almost sure to be right up your alley. In this new clip, you have an opportunity to see a reading of the beginning of the Constitution, and then a transition into something else entirely. This is a new sort of America that is being formed, but not exactly one that is similar in any way to the old one. After all, we’re looking now at several different countries, and a world that is torn apart with violence among several different factions.
But where does the show really go in this new political environment? This is what we find to be currently unclear. While the promo does include this cool constitution reading, there’s nothing else really in here other than character shots and people carrying around guns.
As we’ve said in the past, we’re interested to see what the “Revolution” team did while on their summer vacation. Some shows often fall into a sophomore slump, but we think that the difference here is that the show had some harsh criticism the first season, and the writers have had all summer to figure out how to make it better. This won’t be a case of anyone resting on their laurels and trying to just duplicate the show’s first year.
What do you think about this promo, and do you think focusing on the patriotic angle rather than strictly the science fiction helps “Revolution” in any way? Click here for another promo for the show, which promises more action than anything we have seen to this point.

sounds more like what the UN would write for a “world constitution” – no thank you… I don’t want peace at the sacrifice of freedom… just sayin…
