ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6: Another new Nathan Fillion – Stana Katic photo

“Castle” is not only going for glam right now in their promotional efforts for season 6; they are also doing almost everything that they can to convince us that there could still be some sort of happy ending in store for the two leading characters. The latest shot of Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic was first posted by TV Guide, and it features the two looking very happy while also sort-of embracing. It’s hardly a photo of someone who says no to a proposal and leaves for Washington DC, which we want to use as evidence that she at least becomes his fiancee; however, that’s probably a stupid thing to rely on. These photos really mean nothing when it comes to the show, and are mostly just used so that websites like ours have something new and snazzy to put up that doesn’t include characters who are gone or sporting different hairstyles.

This photo is really the perfect accompaniment to the vast array of other images that we’ve shared for this season already, including one that makes the similarity between Beckett’s dress and an Oscar statue all the more clearer. Does this mean that if Castle wins her heart, it’s like he’s an Academy Award-winning writer? Sure, if you want to use that analogy.

The new season premieres on ABC starting on Monday, September 23, and will continue to go on in the familiar 10:00 p.m. Eastern timeslot for the rest of the season. Sadly, there are no plans for it to air in major blocks like “Once Upon a Time” or many other ABC shows. The major reason for the distinction is simply that “Castle” benefits from airing in January after “The Bachelor” and other odd times during the year, and it’s more procedural and doesn’t need the schedule as badly.
